During the summer, temperatures settle in the high 70's while winter temperatures run between 40 to 50 degrees.

When cruising through the back country, winding roads carry you through forest and pasture lands which offer views of beautiful bays and driftwood-covered beaches. The relaxed lifestyle of the island and friendly atmosphere will make you feel like you are in small town USA.

And although the Lopez community is small and tight, rest assured that you can find any necessity here that you can on its neighboring mainland. Lopez Village offers islanders all of the basic services including library, restaurants, bakery, bookstore and galleries. There is also a full service grocery, a medical clinic and pharmacy as well as hardware and lumber supply, gas station and schools. Who knows? Maybe you’ll decide to stay after you visit for a week.
