Loved the spacious rooms and the birdfeeders all around the house

We loved the spacious rooms and the bird feeders all around the house, which brought lots of birds for our viewing pleasure. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs out front to relax and take in the beautiful view. It was convenient to have a computer and printer in the lodge so that those of us who flew into Seattle could get their boarding passes. The hot tub was a fun and relaxing retreat after our long shopping day in town. The beds were comfortable and we were relieved that we didn't have to hear whistle from the occasional passing trains. We set up a puzzle and played the air hockey game...lots of fun. The kitchen had everything we needed and was easy to work in. We all left feeling like we had just left heaven.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised that it was better in person than the photos and the photos were very good. The spacious rooms, beautiful gardens and view of the surroundings were so wonderful. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. We all agreed, though, that the pool could use a professional cleaning to rid the sides and bottom of the green color. It wasn't appealing as it looked like algae. We liked the proximity of the lodge to the town of Leavenworth. It was a quick 7-8 min. drive. We all commented to one another that we would love to come back to this lodge again in the future. Thanks for the kind words. Actually the pool, like many in the area, uses natural "well water" which is opaque due to the minerals in it. The water is perfectly safe to drink and swim in. The equipment has filters to purify the water. It is professionally cleaned each week or more often if needed. The options are to provide a pool for those 100 degree days or take it out. Most guests actually love it because it is natural and friendly to the environment. - Collin
