As the bigger of the two towns in this recreational paradise, Cle Elum is where you find everything you need. There are shops, supermarkets and traveling services. The wide through fare might hide its secrets, but stopping at the old world bakery and other attractions in Cle Elum is a must for any traveler. Good food too at just about every corner.From here you can jump off to high meadows and mountains and drive national forest roads from mile upon mile. Wildlife is everywhere and the upper-county is studded with big and little lakes for fishing and water sports. Be sure to ask a local for the hot spots or the best camp ground in the area. There are cabins, condos and lodges for rent as well as a major resort and friendly motels and lodges too. |
