Speaking of scenery, Birch Bay provides breath taking views of the San Juan islands and even Washington State's snow capped Olympic Mountains. Inland, Mount Baker and the Cascade mountains are an every present sight as the sun comes. Up. The destination is located 6 miles south of the City of Blaine and the Canadian border on the Georgia Straight. There are 5,000 full time residents but population swells by triple of quadruple in summer as residents from around the Northwest flood to the good times.
