Packwood is a small town with a great location. In the heart of Volcano Country, located centrally between Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams it is close to everything with scenic beauty and recreational opportunities that attract visitors from all over the world who come for the hiking, hunting, fishing, bird and wildlife watching, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and camping.Stay in the Chateau Timberline Hotel tower suites and hotel rooms. Rainier National Park and approximately 30 miles north-east of Mt. St. Helens National Monument. It is on Highway 12 in the northern part of Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
