Some believe the icicle River is the cleanest most pristine river in Washington State. Running up from the Wenatchee River, through the Town of leavenworth the valley is verdant green and dotted with homes. The icicle river hatchery constricts the flow momentary but then the river climbs steadily up the Icicle River Gorge and to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area. . Often called the American Alps, the mountain surrounding the valley are sheer, rugged and magnificient. The Icicle valley offers hiking, biking and stunning scenery. Just a few miles down the valley is the bustling replica Bavarian Village of Leavenworth full of shops, fine dining and year round festivals and constant entertainment. Vacation Rentals in the Icicle Valley are near by but far removed from village life. You could walk to town, wander along the river or spend the day enjoying peace and quiet. |
